It's official...

I am a stay-at-home mom! I quit my job today. I am thrilled at the idea of being home with Madi. I am so grateful for a husband that is so supportive and willing to sacrifice so that I can be home to raise our children. Derrick and Madi are such great blessings in my life!

She's getting so big!!!

Madison is going to be 4 weeks old tomorrow! I can't even believe it! Look how big she is getting! I took her to the doctor's yester day to make sure she was still gaining weight and she weighs 7 lbs. 5 oz. I love to watch her sleep. She makes the cutest little faces. We are so blessed to have this little angel in our home. What a miracle!

Our Little Princess...

Sorry it's been so long! My hard drive crashed a little over a week ago. Thank goodness for a brother who can fix it! Anyway, I can't decide what picture to use for Madi's birth announcement. What's your opinion? Also, if you have any constructive criticism, let me know. That's how I get better. :)

I LOVE her belly button! We do hope that it goes in as she grows though! :)

Saw this done once and had to try it.

Love this one!

A Madi update...

We had some struggles last week with Madi. She decided she didn't like to nurse and would purse her lips ans close her eyes when I tried so, she won and she gets to eat from a bottle. She was having some trouble going #2 so we switched to Enfamil Gentlease hoping it would help. She consistantly ate an ounce each time she ate but on Thursday she stopped eating all together and I was worried so I took her to the doctor. She was exactly two weeks old and had lost more weight from the previous doctors visit. She was 6 lbs. The doctor wanted us to make her eat at least 2 oz. every 3 hours and said she had to gain by Tuesday or we would need to figure out a way to get her to gain weight. We were persistant and it took her about an hour and a half to eat her two ounces each time but when I took her yesterday she weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz.! Yay! She's back to her birth weight. We have to bring her in to check her weight next week but we are confident she is improving. She is eating a little better and starting to go to the bathroom more regularly. She has been such a wonderful little girl and we are so glad to have her in our home.

Bath time with Grandma...

It's always fun when Grandma comes...

We were very lucky that my mom was able to come spend a few days before she had the craziness of my sisters wedding. I loved seeing my mom and wished she was closer so it could be more regular.Grandma Kisses from Mom

Meetin' my cousins...

I took Madi to meet her cousins, Whitney and Caitlin yesterday. It was so fun to watch them with her, especially Caitlin who couldn't get enough. They will soon have a baby brother at home to love and hold. It is so much fun to see them with her and I can't wait until they can all play together. Whitney and Madi

Tammy and Madi

We had the incredible experience this week of having our first child. What a sweet little girl Madi is. We absolutely love her! We are so grateful to Mindy and Tammy for making everything so wonderful and so comfortable for us. We were blessed to spend most of Friday with Mindy and were able to get to know her better and watch her tenderness with our little Madi. We will ALWAYS love Mindy and we are so thankful to be part of this miracle.
