More of Madi...

Oh how I love this girl!!! She makes me smile everyday. She is such a sweetheart! Madi is growing like a weed! She is going to be nine months old on Friday. I took her in for her checkup and her are the stats...

Weight: 18 lbs. 13 oz. - 50th percentile

Height: 27 in. - 20th percentile

Madi has six teeth, four on top and two on the bottom. She is crawling EVERYWHERE and is constantly keeping me on my toes. She is finding things on the floor that I don't even know is there. The other day I left her in her room while I went to change the laundry and when I came back she was chewing on one of the clear plastic things that hook the tags to the clothes. How in the world did she find that on her floor??? She is so cute when she crawls. She army crawls and will sometimes push off with her toes. I try to show her how to crawl on her knees and now I have bruises on my knees from our wood floors. No wonder she doesn't want to crawl on her knees.

She continues to love anything to do with her tongue. She has recently discovered that if she blows with her tongue out that spit flies everywhere. She gets a kick out of it!!! She learns new things every day. She is really good at showing where someones nose is. It is so cute, instead of pointing she will grab your whole nose. We are still working on other features.

Madi will be taking her first big trip this weekend. My mom is having surgery so Madi and I are going to Texas to help my mom for a little over a week. I hope she does okay. She HATES her car seat and it is about 18 hours in the car and she is such a daddy's girl that I worry by the end of our trip she will have had it. Guess we'll see! We are looking forward to spending a little time with my mom (even if she will be drugged up the whole time :D)!

A Sunday stroll...

We have had beautiful weather this weekend!!! We took advantage of it and went for a walk in the park after church. Madi was exhausted because she refused to take a nap. (I did manage to get her to fall asleep during Primary for about 30 minutes.)

Madi's day...

Poor Madi has had three rough nights in a row. I am not sure if it is from teething or if she is getting sick. You can tell in the pictures she isn't feeling too hot today. Smiles were few and far between.

Madi got this book in her Easter basket. She LOVES it. When she is looking at the animal pages I will make the animal sounds and she thinks it is great. For some reason this picture reminds me of my cute neice, Olivia. We got Madi a Tinkerbell cell phone. She loves to play with our phone and LOVES Tinkerbell. It makes noises and she actually holds it up to her ear, or at least tries to. Most of the time she actually gets it up there. :D It was a gorgeous day today!!! We took advantage of it and had a barbque for dinner and then played outside for a little while. Madi is going to be our All Star soccer player!!!

She was not so sure about the grass. I put her on it and she kept her arms up so that her hands wouldn't touch it. It was so funny to watch!

tiny toes...We blew some bubbles which thrills Madi. She actually got to pop some too since there weren't other kids around.

When we finished blowing them she still wanted more. She attacked the bubble container!My cute baby...Madi has the most beautiful eyes! She is so precious! What a perfect evening!!!

Happy Easter Madi!!!

Madi has a slight obsession with Tinkerbell, one that we support in every way if you can't tell from her Easter basket. She gets so delighted to see anything with Tinkerbell on it. Then when you show her Strawberry Shortcake or Rainbow Bright she just stares, not amused. :D It is seriously hilarious to watch, and so stinkin' cute!!! Here is the other side of her basket. She also got an easter dress that we let her wear the day we were sealed.

We made Madi crawl to her basket. It was fun to watch her get so excited and hurry over to it. Once she got there she kept tipping it over on herself.

We dumped it out for her. I think that her favorite thing was the Tinkerball bat and ball. She has played with it for hours since Easter. What a cutie!!!

It's been a while...

I feel like I have been running and running but getting nothing done. My "to do" list seems to be getting longer each time I cross something off.

Our cute little Madi is getting so big! She is growing up so fast! She is eight and a half months old and shows more and more personality everyday. She has five teeth and LOVES to use them! She is crawling EVERYWHERE! Not on her knees though, she army crawls. It is so funny to watch her. I try to help her up on her knees and she just gets mad at me. I have a couple weeks worth of pictures but I have narrowed them down. Hope you enjoy... Madi loves her tongue! She has started to really like her sippy's and is finally figuring out how to drink from then herself. She has also learned how to pick up food and eat by herself and loves doing that!
Happy Birthday Mindy!!!Mindy's birthday was April 5th. We haven't seen her since Madi was six weeks old so I took her to lunch for her birthday. It was great to visit with her. Madi took right to her and loved the attention! We love you Mindy!!!

Madi woke up from her nap today and I was taking a few pictures of her...

She has never crawled in this part of our house before and was headed straight for the stairs. I said "NO NO NO NO" and dropped my camera lunging for her. I think I freaked her out... She didn't want me after that, only daddy... :)
