Cousins...

Playing with her cousins, Whitney and Caitlin
Caitlin wanted to be a helper and feed Madi. Poor Madi ended up with it in her eye. She didn't seem to mind though.

Randoms...

Just a few random pictures of Madi...
Sunday, September 20th

Look, she actually has a little chunk on her theighs!!! Hopefully soon she can keep some pants up. :)

Sick of being sick....

My poor girl. She is so tired and only wants to sleep on my chest and every time she drifts off to sleep I cough and it wakes her up. I was finally able to scoot out from under her and she stayed asleep. Hopefully she can take LONG nap. Since she has been sick she only eats half of what she normally would which means she wakes up to eat more often. She also has a bad cough and is so congested she keeps waking herself up. Hopefully we can kick this soon and Derrick doesn't get it.

Happy Halloween!!!

My two latest crafts...

Is it too early to decorate for Halloween? Derrick says not until October. That's okay with me but I want to put my new stuff out. Only a couple more weeks. :)

Dang you Bekka!!!

While we were at Heber Valley Girl's Camp, my sister, Bekka, was sick and she gave it to us!!! Madi and I have both been sick with a really bad cold since Monday. I feel so bad for Madi because there really isn't much I can give her. Poor girl. :(

Watch me grow...

September 13th Madi is starting to be more smiley and that has been really fun. When she is awake she insists that she be the center of attention which is okay with me.
"Seriously Mom, more pictures???"

Happy Birthday to me!!!

I had a great birthday! The morning started with my gift from Madi and Derrick. They gave me the Willow Tree of the mom, dad and baby. It was one that I have been wanting so it was perfect! The other thing that made this day so perfect is that it was a Saturday so I was able to spend the whole day with the two people I love most, Derrick and Madi. I was also very blessed to be able to spend time with my family and Derrick's family and Mindy. My mother and father-in-law took me to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Ty, Jodi and their kids were able to join us before taking the LONG drive back to OK. It was so great to see them and spend some time with them. We wish they lived closer.

After the Cheesecake Factory we went to visit Mindy. It was great to see her!
Mindy and Madi
Mindy's mom was there so we were able to get a picture of the three of them.
After visiting Mindy we headed to Heber Valley Girl's Camp. My grandma and grandpa are on a mission there so we go there every year for a family reunion. This was Madi's first camping trip. (Usually I wouldn't consider cabins as camping but they are worse than sleeping on the ground!)
Madi's first campfire
Sunday we went to sacrament and then Derrick and I helped Andrea and Cody do nursery in our cabin.

It was a great time and we were so glad we were able to go. I had a great birthday and am glad that I was able to spend it with so many people that I love!

Catching up...

We have been taking pictures of Madi every Sunday in her onsie and socks so we can see how she grows each week. These pictures are from September 6th.

I love this picture. Madi is not a thumb sucker but I wanted a picture without her binki. When I took it away she went for her thumb. Right after the picture was snapped the thumb came out and the binki went in. (Binki's are an easier habit to break!:D)SmilesI love this picture too. Derrick's favorite thing to do is cuddle up and take a nap with his little girl. He is such a great dad to Madi and I am glad he finally has his little girl to spoil.

Six Weeks...

Where did the time go??? My little girl is already six weeks old! I can't believe it. She is getting so big! Mostly long, she is still too skinny to keep a pair of pants on. I have been working on getting our primary program all finished up and ready to start practicing. I should have it done tomorrow and then I will play catch up on my pictures and on my house! The basement is a disaster! :)

Brenton, Pepsi and Questions...

My sister-in-law had my nephew on August 10, just ten days after Madi was born. She came up this week so I could take some pictures of Brenton and I tried to get a picture of the two of them. Madi wasn't having it and Brenton was trying to eat her. Guess I'll have to try another time.
Christina brought her two girls also, Whitney and Caitlin. While we were eating dinner, Whtiney (age 5), asked "Lissa, how long have you been trying to own a baby?" I had to try so hard not to laugh! I love the things that come out of that little girls mouth. :)Finally, a picture of her awake! She sleeps so much compared to Brenton. Madi is only awake about six hours a day but every time I see Brenton he is wide awake!Derrick's work gave us a blanket, onsie, nightgown, hat, bib, bottle, sippy cup and diaper bag with the Pepsi logo and the clothes and blanket say "I'm a Pepsi baby!" For those that don't know, he works for a distributor and among other things, they do Pepsi products. This is her Pepsi shot to go on daddy's desk!

On Sunday, I got Madi up and laid her on the couch while I was making her bottle. Madi HATES to have her hands covered. She always manages to get her arms out no matter how tight I swaddle her. So, I was surprised at all when I saw her little hand poking out the top. I went to make her bottle and when I turned back around... ...this is what I saw. She is such a cutie!
Sunday was also the day that Madi turned one month old. I can't beleive how fast it has gone and how much she has grown!I am one month old! Look how big I am getting!!! Since she was one month, we decided to see how she did in her crib. So, this picture is the first night Madi slept in her room. She did great and has slept in there every night since!
Funny story... Yesterday I got Madi up from her nap and laid her down to change her diaper before feeding her. I was holding her legs up to wipe her and I heard her sucking. I looked up to see what she was sucking away at and it was her big toe!!! I couldn't help but laugh! What a sweetheart!
