Madi and I left on Saturday night for the LONG drive to Texas. Madi actually did surprisingly well. My brother lent me his portable DVD player which was a life saver! But we made it and by the end she was ready to get out of the car and not get back in for a very long time!
Mom's surgery went well and she was released from the hospital today. Aside from the many bruises she looks great! I am sure she would be doing a lot better if her clumsy daughter would quit bumping her chair. (oops!) Surgery doesn't stop her though. She is already online working on her pharmacology exam. 
Madi was a great helper as I packed for our trip! 
She has loved playing with her auntie Tiffy!
